^that second one sounds very suss.
Maybe you should of waited for bigbargainonline? I'm sure their stock is imminent.

yea definitely should have waited for them or Shenzhenaudio. (especially given paypal support being absent via aliexpress)

Already have trouble with aliexpress.
Paid the order by card (incl the card provider second factor token verification for the payment)
After < 24h:

Unfortunately, your payment could not be verified and Order No. # has been closed for security reasons. Please be assured that the payment for this order was not deducted by AliExpress.

To avoid order cancellation, please follow the below steps to submit a claim:
1.Sign in to AliExpress
2.Go to My Orders and locate this order
3.Click “View Details”
4.Click “Want to Claim”
5.Submit the following documents:
•A copy of your personal ID/passport or driver’s license
•A copy of your card and bank statement if you paid with a credit/debit card or a copy of your bank statement if you paid with your checking account

a) (in the online bank) 12 Apr 2014 PENDING - WWW.ALIEXPRESS.COM LONDON GBR-$... <- kinda looks like it was deducted to me given when it does that, it doesn't show up in available funds. I hope I don't get any trouble having that reversed, or for it to reverse itself by say, Wed.
b) second - their security team is sure doing well given
I'm i) asked to click a link in an email and upload personal docs (strictly speak i can follow the sensible instructions below the links but people are lazy) ii) it all happens over http and not https. iii) I do understand they're like ebay, but I don't really want to upload my card or passport pic for buying earphones? (not that ebay and paypal don't do the same, but I trust those a whole lot more than aliexpress).
c) mmm sure, picture of my card and drivers license. coming right up. (only their login and checkout/pmt pages are https btw. Even their password reset pages or 'myebay' type profile/history pages aren't https , but hey, who's counting.)

needless to say, I won't be returning to make a purchase via aliexpress or alibaba anytime soon
should've waited and bought from elsewhere.

Maybe you can ring your bank and cancel the payment going through. I would probably consider it.

Sounds a little strange to me, especially the passport request.

afaik it's not that unusual. paypal asks something similar when you have $1000 in your account balance. not before. (anti money laundering related I think).
However asking for it on first purchase and to complete a transaction after card provider second factor authentication - naawww smily_headphones1.gif. first and last incomplete purchase from aliexpress for me.

Received an email from bigbargainonline who are now stocking DN-2000.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=291124792360#ht_4145wt_720

$299 USD.

Cost is the same as the H-300, sounds exciting.

Am I the only one who considers that a big price jump from the DN-1000 considering it doesn't come with any extra features like, you know, removable cables? The H300 is a more modest price increase over the H200, but I can't say I'm interested in either model because of their frequency spikes. Both T-PEOS models come with removable cables, though.

I sort of felt that the DN1K non-removable cable was excused based on its cheaper-than-competitor price point. Since these are priced at similar price point to competitors' offerings, they could well do with adding features that the other manufacturers offer.

Not that I'll can buy any of these since I'm poor. Hopefully by the point that I'm not poor, there will be removable cable models.

You are paying for an SQ upgrade and you really have to hear it before you judge it.

Yes the frequency spike is there in the H300. But don't be put off by it before hearing it. It is really capable and IMO, outdoes the price worthiness of even the W4R.

I'm pretty sensitive to treble - I have the Westone UM3X which most people consider blunted in treble while I don't find it bothersome at all. I got them second-hand for $200 and I feel that I'm not going to gain much more value in spending an extra $100 on the triple hybrid options. Maybe one day I'll have $300 burning in my pocket and nothing better to spend it on, but today is not that day.

Don't think the two are mutually exclusive

@hatefulsandwich

Treble spikes are correctable and I'm sensitive to them too
Imo comparing h300 to UM3X post correcting the treble is a bit funny.
I'm fairly sure many will say h300 wins hands down

Heh, my dn2k was shipped today, but I doubt I'd get it before easter

My point, basically, is that I think that one should get removable cables in this price range. In my opinion. I know there are plenty of expensive IEMs without removable cables and it doesn't bother lots of other people but it would sure bother me.

Currently I'm just fine with the Westones for the $200 I paid, even if other IEMs are superior. I mentioned them simply as a point of reference for how sensitive I am to treble and why I'm wary of the H300.

The DN-2000 are finally listed on Amazon as being sold by Dunu/Top Sound but there's no shipping info available so Amazon won't let me complete the purchase. Is anyone else in the USA having this problem? Can somebody let Rocky at Dunu know? They need to add shipping info so Amazon will let folks purchase from them.

Cheers!beerchug.gif

*UPDATE* I sent an e-mail to Rocky at Dunu. Hopefully they can fix the problem since you can't buy any IEMs from the Dunu/TopSound Store Front on Amazon right now (I checked several including the DN-1000 and 2000). I don't know if they even realize there is an issue but I would think somebody at Dunu/Top Sound should be wondering why there aren't any Amazon purchases from the USA...

I must say I love the ad copy in the ebay listing for the 2000's
