But yeah as Lin0003 stated above, this is a clear upgrade/step-up over DN1k

So from what you guys are saying DN-2000 is not only a direct upgrade but has that magic touch that made DN-1000 so famous?  I understand you guys are  happy with them so far but does DN-2000 have what it takes to cement a firm position in the $250 - $300 bracket?  I know DN-1000 was (for many) quite a game changer and sure example technology has been moving forward. Will DN-2000 in your opinion hold a similar stance?

I sure hope so!  I'm looking forward to comparing them when my DN-2K comes in.

Mayyteeee....

Remember when Pete Sampras came in and started to smash everybody and win grand slams and people were like ooohhh...aaahhh...he's a legend and no one will break his record...ever...then Roger Federer came in and did exactly that, broken his record and became possibly the all time greatest.

IMHO DN2k is Roger - it changed the signature from a happy and fun V/U shape hybrid to a clear, detailed, and balanced hybrid - not only cements its firm position in the $250-$300, but rivals anything else above that - just to give you example, I am very sure, though based on about 1hr listening last night, that this is better than my Merlin

Knowing you, I know for sure that there is no way you won't like it...

That midrange...sweetness...

Sounding like a real winner so far.

How does the H-300 compare?

How's it compare to something like the ER-4S?

I am so freaking grateful that I didn't spring for $1000 customs a few years ago when it was the popular IEM niche here on head-fi.

Will wait for additional reviews, and I'm still a little worried about the size of the IEMs and ergonomics, but these seem like they might be the next FOTM.

How does the H-300 compare?

Totally different, H-300 is V-shaped with superb impact and depth bass, super bright treble, and not so good midrange

DN-2000 is balanced, with superb and sweet midrange, superb treble, and balanced bass

OK mate so what do you like here? let me just say upfront it is nothing like JVC type signature

This is something that I can listen to 15-20 hours straight on a long haul flight, absolutely no fatigueness whatsoever, it's just sooooooo sweet, clear, and detailed - just balanced signature and it is good to see Dunu has taken the initiative to stray away from the typical V/U shaped sound, as most other triple hybrids I've heard so far tend to have that type of sound, even if it is just a little.

To sum it up on the 2nd day of listening - balanced sound with forward midrange, and magnificent clarity, imaging, and details, vocals especially females, sound so incredibly sweet...

Compared to dunu 1000 how is soundstage and imaging, is the midrange more foward and speed and resolution and micro detailing 😃...anyway I will get may hands on the in a week or two😉...just ordered😄😁😍😎

Does it reminds the VC1000 in anyway?
