Matsu****a E88CC 6922 Mullard Tooling Gold Pin Matched Pair tubes

Will Ship To: Anywhere

Tubes are clean and work perfectly. Pins treated with DeOxIT D100L and Gold. I purchased this pair a few weeks ago but I now have a different pair of tubes that I like slightly better than these on my Schiit Lyr.

Passing along the testing details that I received from previous seller as follows:

Hickok 539C tubes test results: 11800/13400 and 13300/11500 (where minimum good = 7000, spec for new tubes = 12500).

Price includes shipping and PayPal. This is my first classified ad here, so thanks for taking a look. I'm happy to answer any questions that you may have. Thanks!

Hi there -

I'm very interested in these tubes.  I also have a Lyr, and am looking for more low-end than I'm getting from my stock tubes.

What's your opinion of the bass response from these tubes?  Also, what did you like about the other tubes you mentioned that you found better than these Matsu's?

I'm using the HiFiMan HE-500's... not sure which phones you're using?

Thanks in advance,

Tim

Hi Tim,

Good questions. I'm listening through a pair of AKG K702 headphones. If it helps, I posted a quick review of my experience a few days ago comparing these with a pair of Voskhod tubes.

Essentially, I really do like the Matsu tubes, but given my particular setup with the K702's, I feel the Voskhods have a slight advantage. The bass response is good (I'd say it's smooth, accurate, and controlled), even with my K702's (which are notoriously light on bass). With your HE-500's, I'd expect the Matsu tubes would sound terrific.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks!

- Michael

Thanks for the quick response, Michael.  I'm going to give your tubes a try.  For $70 I really can't go wrong! :)

Send me an email at timothyjp @ gmail . com and we'll get the tubes rolling!  I'm good with PayPal if you are?

Thanks,

Tim
