nope, just can't get into the sound signature, even with various EQ settings.

its made me realise that i prefer an aggressive vshaped headphone with a tonne of midbass. the q40 just aren't impactful enough even though they have a decent amount of both sub and mid bass. i want god tier punchy impact and rumble is secondary - maybe i should just order beats and call it a day lol. the highs arent exaggerated enough and dont give the HNGGG feels when listening to female vocals on trance. its a bit too neutral for me.

dont regret the purchase though, was good to try them and get a better idea of my tastes. i can see why everyone else likes them but they just aren't for me.

currently DAP -> zo2.3 low gain RED - > e11 low gain -> gr02 BE is my favorite setup, which blows the q40 bass out of the water imo even though its an IEM. picking up dunu-dn1000 after i sell this which is said to have a very similar sound signature.

Hmm.. God tier impact would be JVC sz2000. 55mm bass driver, and 30mm treble/mids driver. You should probably talk to hawaiibadboy first though. He knows more about them than I do... All I know is that they impact more than any other can he has tried. Ask him about them.

You only ship to Australia or also to Europe?
Hmm... Alpha pads are like 40-50$, the q40's are around 120$, and the cable is 12$. That's all new prices too. For a used pair I'd probably pay 160$ with all that stuff included.

you are forgetting about australian shipping and fees

q40 can not be shipped to australia (and many other countries) from amazon, you must buy it from eBay from only one seller at $141 ($137 + 3%) and that is the only and cheapest place

alpha pads are $84 aud to get shipped here with the cheapest shipping option, v-moda cable is $21

u are expecting a 2 week wait on all of those items

all prices carry a 3% international transaction fee cost and they are marked up from paypal (paypal takes an extra small % on top of the international transaction)

the item has only been used for 1 hour max, so its different from used for a few months

total cost was 259 AUD.

im not selling to US for the reason that you can simply pick up a brand new bundle (ive seen q40 for $100~ usd regularly), so yes, the price i quoted might seem like a rip off if you live in US, but u will get a massive discount if you are from AUS

mostly depends how much you are willing to pay for shipping, im not sure how much it costs but from experience it is probably too expensive to get there. its one of the most expensive places to ship out from. if u are still interested i can check. im not too fussed about the actual price i sell at (would be fine with the price u offered).

Ok, please check the shipping costs from AUS to Poland (Europe) - I'll decide then. Thanks.

Oh. That makes a bit more sense! Sorry lol. So headphones are an even more expensive hobby in Australia?... Woah.
