Some pics...
Neatly packaged, nothing fancy but good fit quality
Red book to DSD64 ran fine with coax and optical out to the Hugo (sorry, no support for hi res flac and DSD128)
Size is a bit larger than the AK240, about the same as DX100 but thinner
Sys concept optical cable for AK240/Hugo won't fit as the spacing is much shorter between the i/o
The silver version QLS matches the look of the Hugo quite well when stacked!
Volume buttons (right), Button lock and Power switch
Overall finish quality of the 360 is very high with good tactile
feel
Takes full size SD cards, FAT32 (couldn't read my exfat 128G)
First impression:
UI - Boots up really fast, very minimalist folder view with sequential/random play, repeat all/folder; scrolling/play control is smooth and instinctive; Text sizes for menu, folders and play info are decent and easily read (much better than Colorfly C4)
Questionables - Can't get it to play DSD ISO files yet, may have to try a few more files. Can't find any support for playlist. SD card don't support exfat (may be a problem if playing DSD ISO files larger than 4G). If you copy music files to SD card from Mac, a list of trace files will be show up and will hinder play (suggest to transfer files from Windows or NAS directly). Hi-res flac and DSD 128 not supported.
Sound - Tried my AKG3003 from the hp out and drove them nicely despite it's low impedance. I'm inclined to say that over SQ is quite neutral with no perceived emphasis/recess on any particular frequecy range on all outputs. The Hugo sounded a bit better in terms of bass definition and body with the QLS optical output than coax at this point but may change after running in. I'll refrain from comparisons with other players at this point and let it run in for a while. Will report back on other phone pairing impressions and issues that may come up.
