NVX Audio XPT100 are clones of the popular Brainwavz HM5/Fischer Audio FA-003 (lots of discussion of those on Head-Fi if you search). They are a neutral headphone with extra angled pads, and only $80.

Clones will probably convey the wrong meaning. There's one manufacturer that makes the basic headphone cups and drivers, and then various manufacturers that sell very slight variations of it. All have essentially the same sound signature.

Cool.  Thanks for the explanation too.

Can't think of many closed cans at $100 that have a good soundstage.  The UE6000, Martin Logan Mikros 90 and ES FC300 are the winners under $200 in my book.  Well, the Mikros is on ear.

interessting recomendations. i own the ue6000 and the hm5 as well, and while they are not that bad in soundstage i would not say that they reach to a zx700, koss pro dj with m50 pads or even a sennheiser hd439 in this regard. as for classic rock i recommend the sennheiser. it is pretty relaxed sounding, which might be an Advantage for sometimes badly recorded classic rock Songs.
