Looking for new IEM's or headphones and help with Westone 4R!

Hey guys,

I currently own:

- Etymotic HF5

- Westone 4R

Previously owned:

- Shure 535

- Sennheiser Momentum

I am in the market for a new pair of IEM's or headphones.

1. I like my Etys, but they just don't give enough "oomph" as the Westones, but the Westones aren't very comfortable in my ears for long periods of time (Maybe it's because of the tip? I'm using the foam tip right now.) and I don't like the veiled sound. By veiled, I mean it sounds a bit muted and vocals sound a bit recessed... Are there any ways to fix these problems?

2. I'm looking for a headphone or IEM that is comfortable on the ears and provides decent sound isolation. If I go the headphone route, I would be willing to purchase a portable DAC or amp to drive the headphones... But optimally I would like a more comfortable and less veiled sounding Westone 4R.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Kevin
