Funny that you mention the DITA's, as I got my Answers non Truth edition yesterday and I am already finding that they are the best sounding IEM's that I have owned. Through the DX90 they are my end game. I am now wondering if I should have order both the Truth edition and base edition instead of the FX850 and FAD Heaven VI, both of which I have not heard yet, but I am already thinking they might not measure up to the Ditas. I never really like my IE80's no matter what source I tried them with as the drums always seems bloated and not very clear.
My Heaven VI's should be here tomorrow, and my FX850's should be here by Monday so I will see how they measure up once they are all broken in.
Well, I hope the FX850's live up to expectations for you and that they turn out to be a great IEM:)
I actually liked my IE8's better than my IE80s' - it was the soundstage. I had the bass switch just of the minimum - the bass was too boomy IMHO at any higher level. I liked playing my older rock and roll recordings from the 60's/70's/80's though them - I know better now, but they were the definition of fun - if I had a better recording, or wanted it really punchy, I'd use the TF10's.... We'll see about the 850's - I almost pulled the trigger on the old JVC 700's a few times over the years - but wanted something that was proficient at all frequencies - not bury the mids - I think the 850 will pull that off.
