Ha. Yeah, saying you were the Asian guy at a headphone meet really doesn't narrow it down much.

I bought the Fiio RE-SE1 26AWG silver-plated copper wire cable for the FX850. It brightens up the Woody's sounds and tightens the bass. Not bad at all for a cable costing about $32. I like the sound better than the stock cable thus far.

There's a little tiny (I mean tiny) gap between the cable and the earphone, but nothing alarming. The sound is fantastic for the price.

Great find Eric! Will have to drop by the local Fiio reseller to grab a pair just to try, sounds like a great compliment to the Fx850s sound

Haven't had a chance to compare them yet. I'll let you know after I burn in the Fiio some. The Fiio is easier to wear though and sounds good.

I just recently got the Tenor noticed it lacks details.  Anybody have both 850 and the Tenore?  If so, which sounds more detailed to you?

I wouldn't say the Tenore lacks details (for the money), but it is not on the level of the FX850. There is no comparison in detail and fullness of sound in my opinion.

I do think that the Tenore might be the BEST earphone I've heard for under $50 though. And I think it's one of the best under $100. I still need more burn-in on it to see what it can do. I have it with me today while my CKR9 burns-in.

I agree with Ericp. The FX850 is playing at a different level over the tenors. But they should be considering the price difference..

Tenors are great all around phones definitely worth their hype but nicer phones like the FX850  have their full sound with the stage we associate with a higher end sound.
