Those graphs Inks posted were super helpful. EQ'ing down the peaks and lowering the bass really cleans up the FX850s sound. It can do neutral without sounding bass lean like a lot of in-ears tend to (though they sound best slightly warm), and it's natural/realistic tonality helps bring out a convincing sense of space. I use this EQ, maybe others who use winamp (or any similarly capable EQ) can comment on their experimentation?

Read all the posts... not much of a decent review yet. Subscribed anyway :D Looking at DITA as well for a single DD iems. The ASG1 is a dark sounding IEM(s).

Looking for a pro review with a 10 page spread including high def picks and full streaming music perhaps?

I know I have to work on my reviews and I am glad you pointed that out actually. Most guys would be nice enough to not point that out but I am glad you pointed that out. I have gotten more compliments than people saying otherwise but I will take that criticism too. I will strive to do better next time, sorry if my review don't meet your standards.

Ok. Well then I am glad you cleared that up..

Everyone knows about the pro reviews I do..Lol. Actually I am very aware my writing needs work. It is a work in progress..Been meaning to spruce up my reviews, but the goal for guys to have an idea about the sound is there at least. I am all too happy to report nice sounding phones on these threads. It is a growing process for me. Anyhow no offense was taken. When you have a online persona going by the name of Dsnuts. You gotta have a thick skin.

Oh yea something kinda funny.. I was at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest and met Tyll Hertsens in persons.. I introduced myself as none other than Dsnuts. He looked at me with this puzzled look on his face as he said "WHAT?" What was that?" Lol. at least he was nice enough to shake my hands anyway but I think he thought I was making a prank Joke or something. He probably thought I was strange.

FX850 burn in process

After approx. 130 hours of burn in:

The treble kicked in .... and I finally found iem tips matching the fx850 sound...giving little more treble details without drawbacks in the bass region. Perfect.

I don't want the sound to change anymore.

(btw ... The sound with the fx850 tips is fine. I just think that, with the fx850 tips, the treble is a little bit subdued by the subass region).

... But what amaze me the most with the fx850 sound is the women voices:

May I ask what substitute tips you found that give a little more treble (and yes, I understand that that is IYHO, and that MMMV:smile:)?

Sure, I use monster gel tips (small size), from the SuperTips Sampler Pack.
