Hey guys.

So my pair of Sennheiser HD 202 II just died. The left side is completely dead,i guess the cable got screwed. For four years i had 2 pairs of these, and they worked great, the sound for the price is amazing, but the first pair had the same cable problem,so i decided to get another pair. Now it happaned again,so im on the look for a different model.I don't have a lot of experience with headphones,so i just read some reviews, checked out some models and so far the Superlux HD681EVO's look pretty good to me.The other option is to get another pair of the HD 202's but id rather not do that.Im using them for home use only, with a desktop PC.Im listening to electronic music mostly.I can spend about 40-50$ on headphones right now,so this is my budget. It would be great if i can get something simillar in sound quality of the HD 202's,or even something better for that price.A detachable cable would be a plus, but i would sacrifice that if sound quality is good.

Hi,

If you can find a good deal, Gemini HSR-1000s (Takstar Pro80) are probably your best bet.
HSR-1000s are closed-back headphones, easy to drive, that can easily compete in terms of sound (and build) quality with headphones that cost twice their price.

Best Luck!
