augmenting portable power

Thread Starter

Hi i'm not sure of where or how to pose this question properly, so please bear with me.  I'd like to know if using an external portable power supply such as

EC TECHNOLOGY® New 22400mAh Portable Ultra-high Density External Battery Pack Backup Charger

would improve the sound  when coupled to portable devices, be it a DAC or amp?  Also do these backups lose or use a third of there charge in transferring this power to a device ( hence qustion in DIY section )

thanks

A big external battery could improve the sound of portable devices, but it depends on the exact detail of the device in question.

You shouldn't buy one with the expectation that it will improve the sound of any device, you should buy one if you need portable charging facilities.

I wouldn't be surprised if a third of the power were lost in a charging operation. I wouldn't be surprised if it were more, it's easy to waste power.
