I recently purchased a ALO International AMP/DAC. Before acquiring that piece of equipment I was using a AK120 combined with HD650's, Sennheiser Amperior's, Shure SE210's and Klipsch S4i's.
I've been searching online and have been trying to figure out if I can still derive any benefits (or if it is possible) for me to use the AK120 unbalanced output signal from the headphone jack into the International, and use the HD650's as balanced headphones? I don't currently have a balanced cable for my HD650's as I would like to learn more before purchasing one.
I've read about the benefits of going balanced and would be extremely grateful for any advice or experiences the head-fi community may have. My current connection between my AK120 and the ALO International is a SXC22 cable.
My understanding of wiring diagrams is rather basic so although I have come across pages with many illustrations that I am sure were wonderfully written I was hoping to get some advice or feedback from the head-fi community.
Thanks so much in advance and I'm glad to have finally joined the site!
