Looking for the best 2.1 speakers mainly for PC gaming under US$100

Hi,

As the title states, I'm looking for the best 2.1 speakers under US$100. The Creative Gigaworks T3 , Corsair SP2500 and Logitech Z623 all looked pretty decent, but they were not within my budget.
It would be great if I could connect a bass guitar to those speakers.

Currently I have a Asus Xonar DG and the Creative SBS A250. They're not too bad, but the speakers have some cracking noises when I play some songs especially some of the Piano Guy's covers.

But I'm not sure if a $100 headset would be better than a $100 speaker , so which should I get ? I heard that headsets that could play strong bass would affect your ears if you use them for a long period. Is that true ? I always thought using the speakers would give me more bass and wouldn't affect my ears as much.
And I'm using the Plantronics Gamecom 380.

I'm from Singapore so links to online shops or anything from Amazon would be helpful. However, the item from Amazon must not exceed 20 pounds to be eligible for free shipping.

Any input would be appreciated,
Thanks

Kilpsch Promedia 2.1 speaker system, guessing they sell used for under $100.

Takstar Pro 80 or Hi2050 headphones.
