Sound Card or Amp for producing music on ATH m50x headphones?

Just got my ATH m50x headphones and i dont know whether to get a sound card or an amp. I will be producing electronic music (progressive house,hardstyle etc.) Which ever one you guys recommend for my situation would you guys recommend some sound cards or amps for my setup as well? budget is $100. Thanks for the help

You could just get an Asus Xonar DG or DGX sound card, $20-$40.

also got another question. I think i have two sound cards or audio sources dont know exactly. One is nvidia high definition audio and the other realtek high definition audio. Would either give me better sound? if so which one?

You graphics card's HDMI audio output will not plug directly into your ATH-M50X headphones.

You can plug the headphones into the motherboard's green jack and use the Realtek audio.

Xonar DG/DGX vs Realtek on-board??

It can be hard so say as each year Realtek gets better and better.

But it's only $18, after mail in rebate, to try the Xonar DG.
