Asus Xonar Essence STX next to Wi-Fi card?

Thread Starter

I have an oddly specific question regarding the EMI shielding on this particular soundcard. I know it has that metal shield on the one side of the PCB (which I've read may or may not be dubious in and of itself, but no matter), but is it susceptible to any interference from the other side of the PCB? My motherboard is such that I will have my sound card in the PCI slot the furthest away from everything, but my Wi-Fi card can only fit in the slot directly next to it, on the side opposite the metal EMI shield. Will the Wi-Fi card being so close and on the more susceptible side of the PCB cause any interference, or am I being a bit too paranoid about this stuff?

Plug it in and let us know what happens.
