Headphone Data Sheet Table with power, voltage & current

Thread Starter

Hi, I compiled table from InnerFidelity Headphone Data Sheet page publicly available on internet.

>>>Headphone Data Sheet Table with power, voltage & current requirements<<<

In table are power, voltage & current requirements for 90, 100, 105, 110, 115 dbSPL for over 400 headphones. Table are sortable and "filterable".

I hope this can be useful here.

I have been looking for a list like that for years. Thanks very much bro! Some of the figures are surprising and worth knowing about.

Chart time!

>>>115 dB SPL Chart<<<

Two graphs at 115 dB SPL, limited&whole range (click on tabs down-left)
x=voltage y=current  bubble_color=headphone_type bubble_size=Impedance

Enjoy&comment!!

HE-6... wow. All the HiFiMANS for that matter... just WOW. Incredible work, and an incredible reference sheet! Thank you for all of your hard work!

Cool thanks!!

So does the Vrms spec mean +/-... or does the number represent the peak to peak span?

So the HD650 for example at 115db requires 4.08Vrms... does that mean its +4.08 and -4.08 peak to peak?

Sorry if this is a noob Q.

thanks!!

Vrms (for sine waves) is related to peak-to-peak by \frac{a}{\sqrt{2}}  (peak divided by square root of 2).  That is to say, 1 Vrms * 1.414 = 1.414 V peak or 2.828 V p-p.

dude that is awesome, scroll to the very top of the screen and you can compare Freq graphs between tabs! Since the background remains the same and only the data changes :D

I was about to bump this thread just because of how useful it is... but you did it for me. Bizzare timing, months later!

Crazy right

Non the less just looking at graphs since, freq graphs for me serve as a nice referance for the color and presentation of a headphone, combined with the Square Waves and the Impulse response, comparing my W1000x to the LCD XC, I see some simmiliarities, well not in the bass, XC Nice and flat, w1000x HUMPY, but in the mids, each as a simmilar shape, my point being is I feel the XC might b an upgrade to my w1000x! I really need to hear the stupid thing already
