Thought I had found my dream pc/gaming headset but..

It doesn't fit lol,

After researching what to buy I came to the conclusion the Phillips X1 was what I was looking for. Good bass, sound stage, gaming performance, can use an add-on boom mic thanks to the detachable cord. But thanks to my huge noggin, extended all the way out they still didn't set properly against my head, and I had to send them back. In every thread of someone trying to find a headset with similar goals as me, this is the one that's always recommended, and the one they usually end up getting, which makes me more than a little sad.

So I guess what I'm trying to find out is, what else is out there comparable that would work for me? Like I said, looking for good sound stage and clarity for gaming, and good bass for the fun factor, a built in mic or the ability to add on one is really optional because i can just use my external webcam one. Also, something open, like to hear what's going on around me, plus I hate talking while wearing isolating headphones.

That must hurt! :(

Audio Technica ATH-AD700X is good for large heads (this is what I've heard) so you could try that. Problem is, it's bass isn't impressive, but it does have amazing soundstage and extremely clear mids. :)

I could see myself going for them, I guess if I did I could always fall back on my speakers when playing something non-competitive/immersive

You could also use a touch of EQ here and there, but hey, your choice. :D
