In the market for new Headphones

Thread Starter

Iam looking for new headphones to buy 150 or less(for use on my pc), i want them to be wounderful for music as well as incorperate the fancy new sound card features that go into new games.

wounderfull surround sound and directional sound/sound staging (not multispeaker/ 5.1 plz)

awsome bass (subwoofer is very important.)

I do not use a microphone

I prefer closed headphones but open are ok to.

I have the new X-Fi Xtreme Gamer card from soundblaster:

they will be used for gaming, listening to music (metal, pop, rock, and many more, again bass very important)

I was thinking about this one here, it seems pretty good and has monster reviews.

I suppose my budget is $150.

was just going to recomment the ATH-M50's, looks like you already hit the nail on the head. as a side note, if you don't mind buying used these always pop up for sale in the for sale threads so you may be able to score a good deal on them too.
