This is my first post in Head-Fi forums, and I wish it wasn't because I am about to say goodbye to my 3-year-old lover, Triple-Fi 10... I was lucky, I didn't break them or get them stolen like many around here. I'll keep my pair and keep on enjoying them until they break and I get customs made out of these. I just have that itch, familiar to all of you, to try something new, something better.
Do you have anything in mind that you can recommend, with more sub-bass and just a little less harsh trebles than Triple-Fi 10? Detachable cables, noise isolation at least on a par with Triple-Fi 10s themselves and a more comfortable use are a must. Other than that, I'm open to anything up to $400. BA, dynamic, hybrids... You name it. (Except for customs. Can't get them done easily from my location. Universals please.)
The source will be iPhone 4s, no amps or dacs on the go, and what I listen to is rock (classic and modern alternative), jazz (trumpet mostly) and trip-hop, usually alac or flac files or at least 320 kbps MP3s.
I just don't know where to go after this. Any insight would be helpful.
