I'd go straight for the bulgogi beef, myself. So tasty.

Bulgogi is pretty amazing, I will admit Ive eaten more thai and indian food than anything else since I got here though. So much delicious food here!

Great.  I was trying to take my mind off my hunger and then I check this thread to find food talk.  Thanks a lot.  Also, I went and put Tamer Animals and Holy Fire IN my Amazon cart and they'll be here tomorrow.  Is this going to become a thing?  Am I going to be getting multiple new CDs after every meetup?  I'm going to need a bigger shelf if I do...

Well then get yourself a bigger shelf!  Duh!

If you guys would spend less time talking about gear and more time talking about music, yes it could possibly become a thing.  In a good way.  Didn't we all start because we like music?  Then you find gear, then an obsession of it takes over, but ultimately it's all FOR THE MUSIC!  I try to check out a few new bands a week.  If they stick or are worthy I buy the CD, if they're really worthy I buy the CD and vinyl.

lord_tris Jason and I just talked about Holy Fire as he recently took delivery of it.  I thoroughly enjoy the album up until the last two songs.  They build me up with upbeat tempos and catchy songs then it all comes crashing down into boring bland slow nothing.  I tend to cut that album short of the last two.  Leave me high, don't bring down.

Tamer Animals is practically perfect start to finish.  Last song could be left out but it works as an instrumental closing to my imaginative movie.

I agree 100% now on the last two songs.  Listened to it again last night an after the last two I was just like meh.  Up until then I was cool.

I think it's one of those things where since we like music so much we want to listen to it in the best way possible, yeah, so we get into gear.  Especially the first couple of meets, everyone talks all gear all the time because that's the big draw of meets to newcomers.  Eventually, the focus shifts.  I've noticed that for those of us who have been to many meets, we've already heard all our stuff, so we do more listening and changing of CDs.  We still do plenty of A/B tests and listen to new things that show up, but I've definitely felt we've been listening to more different music at these last couple of meets compared to the first few.

Still, I'd definitely be up for doing it more.  Getting more CDs just means I have more music to enjoy, after all.

From Bottlehead:

To celebrate our new shopping cart we are having a 10% off sale on everything for 24 hours. As we serve an international market, the delineation of Tuesday is a little difficult. So we went with our new shopping cart's default time zone. The sale starts on Tuesday March 11 UTC. That's about an hour from now...

Let us know if you have any issues with the discount showing up on your purchase, as we haven't tried this feature out yet.

Regards,
The Bottlehead Forum Team.

So you get 10% off your total order for the next 24. You get an additional 10% off if you buy 2 or more. We both happen to live in Cincinnati and might be interested in the Crack... possibly even the Speedball too. Would you be interested in a group buy between the two of us?
