Not really. The differences are subtle. It really depends on how anal you are.

I'm more of missionary (haha i'm funny. :( )

Do you think the sr80\ sr60 would be enough? Because there is big money diffrence

And which one would you suggest? 60 or 80?

oh and what amp would you reccomand? will the fiio e07k would be enough?

I've never spent time with the 60. But I can tell you the 80 with the L cushion is great for rock and with the stock S cushion the 80 is great for hip hop. You won't get the super deep bass but it's more than adequate for an ooen headphone at that price range.

As for amps, I've always found the 80 to sound best with no amp other than what's in my ipod/pad. The e7 would be fine though.

I've seen alot of people talking about the Little Dot 1+

Like.. Tons of people talk about it

do you know anything about it?

The LD1+ is a great little amp.  You can roll tubes & op amps....great feature for an amp at that price level.

The SR225i is the best of these cans, IMO.

The 60i and 80i are a great value , though.

what do you suggest doing?

buying 60 or 80 with the little dot

or the sr225i with fiio e07k?

That is a tough call......the Grados are easy to amp, so pretty much any amp would work.

If you could find a nice used pair of 225's on the B/S/T forums...for say around $140....then that would be a great deal.......if that is too much then I think the 60's or 80's would be just fine

Just to be sure, they 60 or 80 would still be better then my current M50, right?

Or else i'm just buying another pair of headphones that sounds the same

the 60's and 80's are both great for rock....I really can not comment on the M50, as I have not personally heard it.

Maybe someone else will chime in on that subject, who actually has them or at least heard them.

I have a pair of 225i's and they sound good with rock (not so much metal, to me though), maybe a little too forward, but I think that is the Grado signature sound.

"Better" is subjective. Any Grado will sound very different compared to the M50 though.

Yes, and Grado 60 to 325 are similar enough that if you don't like one you almost certainly wont like any of them. With the Grados diminishing returns kick in hard straight away. The 60 is exceptional value, I have a pair for about 15 years and I still listen to them. I also have the 325s and unless I'm giving the music my full attention, as in its the only thing Im doing, the difference is not worth the extra money.  The same applies to amping on Grados.

My advice; just get the Grado 60.

The only danger is if you cant demo the 225s you'll be left wondering "what if" and might end up buying them anyway.
