I like the snugness, so that the phones don't move around. You can fit a set of 600's with a Cardas phone cord in, I don't know about other after market cables, don't know how stiff the others are.
Would you be able to fit a discman and a mint in there too?

I just tried this out, somewhat. I can place a small discman (Panasonic SL-CT570 on top of the headband. Then I slipped a can of mints (don't have a mint amp) under the discman, and then I wound my Cardas cord around my hand to make it the smallest I could (probably not a real good idea to do too many times) and everything fit in, but it was a tight fit. With stock cords that you can roll smaller it probably would fit better. What you won't be able to get in is any power supplies for the mint or the discman. Also, my mint tin didn't have any rca connectors, switches, etc. on it.
