Or maybe your searching for points where they don't exist :D

I mentioned whatever I would be buying would be compared to a decent quality set of speakers, you know means of sound reproduction.

But maybe i'm just way off topic

Yeah. I obviously didn't understand what your idea of the "ideal" speakers have to do with a <$100 headphone design discussion. Not to mention that speakers for high fidelity sound reproduction are not designed for some room, but generally the best are designed for accurate anechoic response. Then if you want accurate sound reproduction from there, you design the listening environment/room for the optimal room acoustic environment that you can achieve. Custom speakers you like you are describing to fit a particular room would be way, way out of my budget range--and yours if you are buying $40 headphones (lol).

How about the PX 100ii's?

They actually have a soundstage for the price and sound extemely good.

check out katun's review on them

he prefers them over the high end cans.

i also happen to own one . and i agree with katun . they sound terrific for the price. they are so light and comfy, you would forget these are sitting on your head after sometime.

I think those were on sale for 10$ more than the dtx 710's or maybe that was the px 200's. I might check out the Superlux's at some point.
