I feel this thing is even better than the first time I've heard it, I read some member here said that Ostry bass tuning is tastefully done and I couldn't agree more. It's not the best I've heard (TH600 take the cake for that) nor perfect but boy if it isn't oh so tasteful.

And no it's still not a basshead phone, people who regard 5dB increase across the whole bass spectrum as "neutral" should really look elsewhere.

The bass boost on my E12v1 or C&C BH will work nicely I'm sure! :)

C'mon tracking - show me some further loving!

Should work quite good given the clean sound of this phone. I'm putting that out clearly since I've seen a lot of people who think that bass boost = neutral nowadays.

Members here were saying that KC06 beats even the gr07 and gr07BE, while mine are still on its way i bet it can beat the the VSD1S no problem.

So how are these for pop music and music with more bass i.e. dubstep, dance, trance etc.

Thanks for the input, I'll wait for your final comments on the KC06 vs GR07 once you've received your KC06 and make a direct comparison with the GR07 and see how good the KC06 really is. To be honest I'm a bit skeptical in spite of all the hype here with the KC06. On another note, I'm also very keen to find out about KC06A vs KC06 too if anyone here have both to compare. Thanks in advance.

Don't think he has the GR07.
But from what I'm hearing right now, KC06 are better.

nehcrow, can you elaborate in what way KC06 is better than the GR07? I sure hope the highs are more extended and transparent than the GR07 without being sibilant....just hoping :p

Yeah, treble extends very nicely.

No sibilance that I can detect, but the treble is actually very present. Not forward or anything.

I say they are more transparent than the GR07,  but I do love the GR07 very much in this aspect

More sub-bass than GR07 iirc, but still extremely tight.
Actually tonally they are very similar to the GR07 I think, but just more refined imo
