The wording of their email was "I am very sorry to tell you that the Gold is un available (both of factory and us) untill the end of this month."
I asked them if they can guarantee that I'll get a silver of the updated version, and explained that I know for a fact that the Gold will always be the updated version whereas the Silver has the two versions. The thing is, even if they guarantee it ... what hope do I have if they're not? Shipments from China usually take up to a month. If they're the wrong batch and I send back and get another, it'll be June by the time I get the right ones.
