This was waaaaay back in October/November. Everything should be good by now. I would just recommend staying away from Taobao and using Penon Audio, Shenzhen Audio, ebay, etc for the silver ones just in case.

Good to hear as mine is the gold version :)

While I had time I grabbed some photo's of the jack to give you guys a rough estimate on it's smaller size.

(My hand moved, I really couldn't be bothered re-doing the jack photo again)

Ostry KC06 /  Tralucent Silver cable / Monster Turbine Pro Copper.

Picture of the right housing to give a size proportion on Sansa Clip Zip.

Listen to it. I wouldn't worry too much, every person who have bought Ostry recently on this thread doesn't seem to have any issue with the bass.

You could also ask the seller to confirm that it's a later batch.

XD Been trying to find Wide bore tips that Danny recommended to me before I order the Gold version. UE900's and TF10 tips. I know I can get the TF10 from the Logitech site and amazon. You can get the UE900's at the Logitech site as well, but no success anywhere else so far. What tips are everyone using on them? Also, could a person take a piece of heat shrink tubing to go over the cable to make it, well, slightly more durable?

So to sum up, they're not :
- For basshead
- Muddy sounding
- Closed sounding
- Bass anemic
- Going to exaggerate bass
- Sparkly
- Going to exaggerate high or sibilance
- "Euphonic" sounding
- Going to throw vocal in your face
- A be all end all IEM, lots of room for improvement
- For basshead, seriously.
