The housings are also smaller than some of the photos lead on to believe too . They're smaller than the footprint of a GR07 housing. Damn, even the cable material is higher quality than found on some $200 IEM I've owned.

I don't like the cable after the y split and the jack is wayy to small, I'll probably gonna reterminate it later. However the housing is very solid I agree. they're also small enough to be comfortable on asian ears.

There might be some concerns with the actual Y spilt as well.. The actual rubber sheathing though I already have more faith in than DN -1000 for durability.

Anyway I'm off. Look forward to more impressions.

Later received headphones, low frequency obviously much better I feel, Oh, it is such a low frequency, after this aspect of the problem is solved, enough to make this headset Naiting greatly improved.

So there is no way of knowing if you are getting one from the first batch or not!.... This is making me have second thoughts about getting them ...

Gold version would be a 100% way. This only affected the Silver model.

This was waaaaay back in October/November. Everything should be good by now. I would just recommend staying away from Taobao and using Penon Audio, Shenzhen Audio, ebay, etc for the silver ones just in case.

I continue to be highly impressed, KC06 gets a high recommendation from me. It's totally unique in it offers the best price to performance ratio I've heard yet. wink.gif

As much as I agree on the KC06, be careful not to overgeneralize about JVC. The FX750 and 850 are amazing IEMs (despite their exaggerated bass).

Now I need to go find some other great unknown to bring to the masses.

I'm really hyped now.

So, basically, you were hyping a defective IEM back in November?

Think about it, I enjoyed the sound quality and felt it was worth more than $60 even when defective, but felt something wasn't quite right in the bass department.

Apparently I was right, and now I'm even more excited to hear what it is supposed to sound like.

Well, I'll just have to take your word for it James, because I'm not about to try them personally, I made it pretty clear why a few pages back even stating the JVC model specifically, maybe you missed that post? Anyway, it's a real shame my taste has been soured. I think that's one obstacle KC06 is facing currently, besides those JVC models you speak highly of, so many cheaper IEM have been hyped to high heavens in the past (no brand name in-particular) when the real deal comes along no wonder members are hesitant, even I was. Lucky I was able to demo KC06 first.

Everyone's faith in head-fi humanity will be restored if the kc06's live up to the hype (and I have complete faith that they will!). But if they don't, then all hell is gonna break loose lol!

Indeed, quite a few of us have placed our testicles on the chopping block here.

All we need to remember is, eke compares them to 1Plus2 and K3003, any disapproval can be then swayed onto him.

However, have the faith Gentleman..

So what is the bass like on these? I'm not sure how they compare to my now-broken Carbo Bassos.

Look at what they are selling:

http://www.aliexpress.com/supplier-fm/wholesale-products/231048244-productlist.html

RE-600 at 159$, DN-2000 at 124$ etc.

Must be fakes.

Jesus - he sells fake UM Pro30's - It has to be a scam - it says if you don't like the product, you have to ship it back to him - or keep it and settle for partial refund - hell he could sell you anything and make you ship back to China.... or have you forget it for a 95% refund - and he makes his money.
