For $60 it's crazy imo. I honestly think with these around one could do without DN-1000 any longer.

I don't know whether I'm having especially good synergy with the C3, though they sound upwards of $250 mark to me.

Btw: I tried them with Studio V 3rd Anv and they don't hiss, but much prefer them with the Colorfly alone.

Now to keep this pair until mine arrives.   *disappears from head-fi for 2 weeks*

Haven't heard them either, won't till two weeks ahead of time :(

Glad you're enjoying these as well! It's making my patience run thin though, I want to get them now!

At least this is warranted hype unlike the JVC fiasco. I did not particularly enjoy the fx40 as much as I would have liked, these sfeel different, and of course, look a lot different and more premium than they cost.

Colorfly it is then, that's my next purchase after the ostrys and audio technicas.

Wow H20 - bold statement! And great to know that they sound wonderful off of the C3. I'm sure that throwing my C&C BH into the mix won't hurt their sound too much either :)

Considering the KC06 are a rather fun sounding IEM, throwing in the LF switch of the BH would only energize things up - which is not technically a bad thing. wink.gif

I hope that I at least get my KC06's in my ears before you manage to somehow get the KC06A's and start hyping the hell out of them LOL!

I was comparing the FX850 and the FX650 and then went back to the Ostry's and just can't take those out of my ears.  There's a sense of clarity, openness, nice bass and crazy nice vocals that just draws you in.  These are definitely competing with more expensive gear.

Would you say the FX850 have a warm vibe, or sound veiled in any way? How about the clarity? Any where like that of the KC06?

No veil just nice hit of warm natural feeling that make shivers run down your spine 😁😍💕😎
