Just wondering why are they calling it "different" instead of "better", really seems like it's a sidegrade instead of logical upgrade... probably bass heavy version.

That's the sense I've gotten from reading scraps of very vague impressions around the Chinese blogsphere. However, it's possible that in retuning the vents and chamber design, the driver can be optimized in response. If it ends up being bassier than desired, unfortunately it'll need to be modified.

 


 

In other news, it looks like Ostry is looking to release another model, the entry-level KC800.

 

It's said to use an 8mm driver with "third-generation" chamber design.

the sound should be different. how much different, i don't know. it might have a different design and materials as well. end of the month will tell

KC800....Now, this looks like a ripoff of the Sennheiser IE800.
