Still unsure how people said they lacked bass, it's got more than enough for anyone not a basshead and for the most part it's really good it's only the sub bass that I find lacking.

The KC06A fixes the texture, and provides quite a bit more bass.

The first batch of KC06 which I ordered from had a lot that were defective (mine was). On the defective ones, bass was almost completely missing. The newest batch of KC06 I ordered from sounds COMPLETELY different.

I still like the KC06A better however, so I'm going to put the KC06 Gold up for sale soon.

Just got the KC06.  Out of the box, these are awesome!

Wearing them cable down.

Wide bore stock tips were too flimsy.

Narrow bore stock tips, v-moda bliss, sony hybrids, and Meelectronics M6/A161p double flange all worked.

I rate the Meelectronics M6/A161p double flange #1 because they make the bass punchier and sound more airy/3D.  2nd would be Sony Hybrid green.  Sony Hybrid Teal and V-Moda bliss sealed too well and took away some airyness.

If any of you have the MEE M6/A161p double flange, can you try them on KC06 and let us know how you find them?

Comparing KC06 and Tenore and they are close.  Need more time.

It's good, very linear, thin midbass, good sub bass, okayish treble, okayish mid, impressive soundstage for its size, good timbre better than re400. It's a very safe phone.

However it's also not exciting enough for me, nor it's better suited for my playlist and my ears than KC06. wink.gif
