Anyone able to compare these to the Vsonic VSD1S? These and the Ostry's are the ones I am contemplating on opening my wallet for.

Edit:

I mean like.

Comfort

Sound

Build

Over all impressions.

Comfort, I found the comfort between the two to be tip dependent, as after tip-rolling, a set of Comply tips will set the comfort level just fine for anyone. In short, comfort is a variable in this case.

Sound, to me, the KC06 does it better than the VSD1S in most aspects, eg. Detail, soundstage, treble extension, imaging, etc. What the VSD1S might level with Ostry's, or excel more, might be the bass (VSD1S has enhanced bass over the stock VSD1), and a bit thicker in mids. Once again, this thickness is due to the increase in the low range which gives it this effect. The VSD1S is also warmer (not by much at all) than the KC06, but I wouldn't consider either as veiled.

Build, the KC06 takes it for the shells, and the cables go to the durable and super-flexible, Vsonic's. Either are great in build quality for a budget IEM, so you shouldn't have to consider this; just looks.

That's my 2 cents.

So it seems the Moe might become my On The Go IEM if I decide to grab it soon.

When you say its warm with good clarity, does this mean that there is no veil over the mids and treble?

on their own, the ss01 wont sound veiled, but compared to the crystal clear kc06  or re400 it'll be rather noticed.

i own and reviewed both VSD1S and MA350 (which i think perform at a similar SQ-level) and the ss01 sound better than them.

Okay, where did you Head-fiers buy them? Amazon has them.

PenonAudio has them as well, just never ordered from there.

Wonder if any places has some type of warranty, kind of like Audio Jack does?

I don't know anything about this seller, but they're selling for $52 shipped.
