Same here- can't be much longer...

The sad thing for you then is that you've had them for 5 whole days now, so the new toy syndrome has worn off for you, and they now suck for you. Sorry about that. Me though? I still get to look forward to 5 days of new ostrich toy syndrome insanity! :-)

Oh no no no! What new toy syndrome? lol I love it to the core! Its like i found my new sweetspot for iem. Been using it all day for studying and sleeping. Ever seen i got these i have not even touched my desktop's hd598, not saying its better but thats how i feel about these phones. They sound soooo musical to my ears hahah. Anyways my ears have not experienced high end iems b4 so its probably because of that i love this kc06 soo much. My next cash splash will be on a dap instead probably x5 or dx90 haven't made my mind yet then a closed heapdhone like perhaps shure 1540. I am done for iems for now! (seriously speaking)

I think they're better than when I first got them too, damn this thing make most of my sub $100 impulse purchase moot.

He he he, well alrighty then! I suspected that I was a bit off in my assessment lol.

Seriously, its great that you're enjoying them so much. I'm looking forward to tomorrow!

I'm eagerly waiting for your impression, now that the expectation seems to have flown off the stratosphere I hope you're not disappointed with them. tongue.gif

The problem is that I already love them, and I haven't even heard them yet. I'm almost afraid to hear them now!

However, I do have an assortment here and Heir tips (which aren't really Heir tips,  just a Head-fi name we've given to identify them) tend to open staging, increase air and slightly tilt tonality cooler, gives a little heft in the upper mids which helps vocal extension. Keep in mind I use large in size which seal just on your outer canal - you'll need to pull up your ear and seat them properly. I cannot guarantee everyone will have similar results to myself.

I believe other companies started including them with their products. They become popular for the revised 1Plus2 for instance, I also used them on ASG-2.

Just got the Heir tips in and I agree whole-heartedly.
If you like a cooler tone, Heir tips will give you that!
Sometimes I did find the Ostry's a touch too warm for my tastes, and the Heir tips definitely added more emphasis on the upper mids/treble

When I see this picture, all I can think is that you all need to splice the cabling of the Ostry and wrap it in ERS paper to eliminate all the weaknesses. Also, I hope your DAPs have got anti vibration feet on the bottom of them, gotta lower that noise floor yo

And now I just have to buy the tips, the wait will be annoying again, I hate buying things internationally because of this. frown.gif

Thanks for impression!

Got my Gold Ostriches today, and...

I'm glad people were able to point out that the first batch of Ostrys were defective. These sound MUCH better, and the bass is A LOT stronger than my first batch set. I practically have to drop my Geek Out 1000 -30db so I don't blow my eardrums out. The sensitivity was always awesome.

I initially said the bass was anemic, and it was. These are much improved, and I honestly can't find much fault in the sound. The only problem I had with the Ostry was the bass, and that was fixed. I may even like these more than my previous favorite, the Havi B3 Pro 1. At least I can take these on the train and have plenty of juice to power them.

I think the Ostry might even have more bass than the Havi. The Havi was only $45 when I grabbed it, and it still captivates me, but the Ostry is more comfortable and seems to have just about as good of a soundstage. The Ostry seems to be slightly more clear too.

For $60, the Ostry KC06 is a steal and a half. Needs more recognition. Can't wait for the KC06A.
