Hi, I'm a new member at the start of the audio experience, and I'm searchin' to buy something portable not to expensive but with good quality, accurate and clean just in sound (accordant to the price not much "adudiophile" beacuse I can't afford to spent 500 euro or much just for the music). I listen to some music like rock(as RHCP, John Frusciante, Led Zeppelin, The doors etc..)Do you think that this stuff(see the title) with file lossless like flac it's appropriate?

Thax a lot and sorry if I just made some mistakes with the thread or the section of the Forum.

John

Hi,

I use the AKG K550s with the Fiio E11 with an IAudio X5L MP3 player. (it is a bit old and out dated now though) The MP3 player I use, you just can't tell the difference between a 320kbps MP3 and a flac when using the E11 and the K550s. It will maybe be better to put high bitrate MP3s rather than flacs on the Sansa clip to save space.

Hi,

I know that you can't hear more different, but I don't have much problems about the space on Sansa,And I think it's always better the best file's format don't you think? it's a nice thing pass form Ipod classic+Pioneer HDJ500 to sansa+E11+k550, don't you? I'm gonna pay about 230$ at all, It's a good price-quality ratio I think!

Well, because my MP3 players is old now, it only has built in storage. You can't put a micro SD card in it. It has a built in 30GB. and I have it almost full of mainly MP3s. I am thinking I may get the FiiO X3 when this gives up.

I would say it is worth putting them on as flacs if you know you will for sure have plenty of room.  I could do with more than 30gb on mine though! The Fiio X3 comes with 8GB built in and you can put up to a 64GB card in too.

Just one question:

Are you planning on using the K550s and E11 with your MP3 player while on the move or at home?

I find the E11 very, very effective to use when traveling because whenever there is background noise, the bass becomes much weaker on the K550s and the E11 does a good job on bass boost 2 and high gain aswell to boost the volume.

I  gonna use my stuff while on move  and at home.. So did you think that's it enough all-round? I know that Fiio E11 is mostly for high impedance headphones but I buy it before decide to pass at K550, i the future I'm gonna buy something like C5.. I don't know if you knows this amp and if you think that's appropriate for my headphones(also your :))
