Maybe get a dragonfly. I have the same problem, 100 bucks to fix the laptop, or 149 for a dragonfly 1.2

You may be glad it broke? Enjoy!

You could even get a dragonfly 1.0 cheaper. Has a line level out as well as volume control.

This happened to me on my MacBook a few years ago. I got a Griffin iMic, a USB DAC that connects via USB and has an output you can plug headphones into. It was about $50 if I remember correctly. I used it every day for about four years, and even now I use it from time to time. In fact I'm using it now. I don't know how it sounds compared to other more expensive units, but mine sure proved to be durable. If anything, I'm happy about that.
