Headphones/Soundcard Suggestions [£300-400+]

Hey guys.

So I'm looking for some good suggestions for my first ever quality audio experience. I'm a complete music addict and I've basically spent my years listening through either really cheap gaming headphones or trash earbuds.

Enough is enough! I need me some saving from my sins against music everywhere.

Jokes aside, I'm really not very knowledgeable in this area and get easily confused with the terminology so any help would be really great. I would stretch over my budget of £400 in a case where the gain was worth the extra expense.

Thanks! ;)

Put more of your budget towards headphones. That's where the best value is at.

I would recommend starting a post in the main introductions and help forum. Give it a read first as you might learn a good bit from what others are asking. That's generally the best place if you are just getting started and need a headphone recommendation. This is more strictly focused on computer audio rather than headphones. If you post there, come update this post with a link smily_headphones1.gif

Audio-GD NFB-15.32 external DAC/amp, Currently it's 152 GBP+shipping.

But they are out of stock until mid March, not sure if you can wait that long.

But it's a good invest with something that can last for years and can work with sound cards or on-board audio and more then just a Win PC.

AKG K612 Pro 120-Ohm headphones, 114 GBP

Hey guys.

Thanks for the advice both of you :) I'll look into the above post's suggestions and I've also made a thread in introductions + Help.
