Comparing Similar Earphones

I wanted to write a comparison of two IEMS I own and I'm finding it very difficult as the sound signatures are very similar.  Does anyone have any recommendations for songs or testings methods for doing this?  I have tried using the music I typically listen to and different sources, but they sound more or less identical (which can't be the case).  Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

What headphones are you comparing? I would just pick high bit-rate songs from different genres and listen to each song with one pair, and switch headphones and listen to that same song again. I would also switch the order you listen to them in. For one song, listen to headphoneA first then headphoneB, then keep headphoneB on and listen to the next song with it. Your perception of what you're hearing may only be based on what you just heard from the headphone you were just using, so switch it up.

Thanks for the response.  I'm comparing the Fischer Amps FA-4E XB and Audio Technica ATH-IM03.  I did try the method you suggested and I still found it very difficult to pick out differences between them.  Perhaps I'm too familiar with the tracks I'm using.

That could be. Hmm...

Here's some songs I'm throwing together for you to use.

MGMT :: Electric Feel ----- Could be good for comparing soundstage, bass response, and sharpness of treble.

Some dubstep--- Rusko :: You're on my mind baby -----good for comparing sub bass, staging, and treble.

Beethoven :: Moonlight Sonata --- good for comparing mids forwardness, and staging.

Emery :: From Crib to Coffin --- Good for comparing vocal clarity and detail. (Be warned, at 2:10 there is a large crescendo)

Hope that helps you a little bit, hopefully for your comparison's sake you are unfamiliar with these songs.

Also, be sure to watch the videos on the highest quality in case it increases the audio quality as well, or just search these songs on Spotify.

So, have you reached a conclusion yet? Which one's the better one? Fischer Amps FA-4E XB or Audio Technica ATH-IM03?
