Hi all,

I just created a new account and wanted to introduce myself as requested in the firs pm I got.

I'm not new to this forum I have been lurking for more than 4 years but wanted too get a little more out of the knowledge in here.

My current rig.

Cans: Sennheiser HD650 (default cable)
Amp: SPL Auditor
DAC: RME HDSPe AIO PCIe card

I also own a Music Fidelity V-dac and a Lovely cube.

One of the drivers of my HD650 is dead. I will replace the 2 but my search for the parts made me decide I want another pair of cans. No decision made but I hope to find something after some reading and maybe asking around in the head-fi forums.

Tanks for this grate place and and the things I learned in the last couple of years already.

Regards,

Gertjan

Hello and welcome!

Sorry to hear about your 650 driver, that's a real bummer. You could put up a wanted ad in the classifieds for a used driver, and save yourself some money. What kinds of music do you listen to, and what would your budget be if you were to get another pair of headphones?

Thanks for the welcome and the tip about the used driver.

Budget is not exact yet. I firstly want to look at the different options. I do want an upgrade so it will probably go towards something like the LCD-2 or the HD800. (need to do some saving first)

I mostly listen to prog rock/metal. I also like funk/jazz (Marcus Miller) and sometimes classical (instrumental only).

I love the HD650 but sometimes I miss the sparkling highs I get from my Genelec 8040A monitors.
