Cans to go with Schiit Magni and Modi stack?

Hi Ya'll,

I do currently own Sennheiser HD558, ATH M50, Grado SR80i and out of them, i can say i do enjoy the sound of M50 relatively more. I run them off my iPhone 4 + Fiio E6 and they sound fine.

As an upgrade, i ordered Schiit Magni and Modi DAC+Amp combo(for desk use only of course)  and they should soon arrive. I also wanted to get a pair of DT770 250 ohm.

My questions:

1) While DT770 250 ohm sound good with Schiit stack? or should i go with 80 ohm model? Plz consider that i currently like sound sig of ATH M50.

2) Any alternates to DT770 that make the upgrade to Schiit stack worth?

Budget is around 200 $. But i am willing to stretch a bit if necessary

Why not listen to your cans first with that Schiit stack before you upgrade to anything, that way you can have ore details about what you don't like about the sound?

Unless you're bound to save some shipping cost by shipping the Schiits and the new headphones together, I'd say wait for them to arrive and try all your headphones with them. We can't blindly (deafly?) start tossing headphones your way if we don't have a reference point about what is missing or otherwise you don't like in the sound of those headphones, especially with a more proper amp like the Magni.
