I been looking into headphones and amp and I plan on getting the fiio andes. So what is the best headphone that will benefit from an amp in the $$200 range. I primary listen to dubstep, electronic, country, instrumental. I want impactful bass but won't drown out mids and high.
Here's what I looked into
Phillips x1
Ath m50x
Is there any other that will be a good pair with the andes

By portable, do you mean you will be using it outside on buses, on walks, etc?

The Philips Fidelio X1 is a wonderful headphone and i would HIGHLY recommend it, but the only problem is that its not a headphone meant to use outside the quiet comforts of your room.

yes, like the bus. If not what do you recommend for outdoor use. Since I ordered the andes

The X1 are open back and have VERY little isolation.

Are you open to in ear monitors or strictly headphones?

If you are into IEMs, I would suggest the Vsonic GR07BE. I pair it with my Fiio E17.

Some headphone choices:

Sol Republic Master Tracks

Sony MDR 1R

Sennheiser Momentum Over Ears (if you can find them used. Not on ears... would not recommend on ears)

Some In ears:

Vsonic GR07 BE (seems to be rare to find past few weeks)

Aurisonics ROCKET (search them up on kickstarter, theyre VERY promising)

Sony XBA 3

Sony XBA 4 is also a good option. XBA 3 has a more U shaped, "fun" signature while the XBA 4 is darker and smoother
