I need help finding an open back full sized headphone that will sound great in my failr inexpensive setup

Hi there to all those who are here,

I am in need of some unbiased opinions on open back full sized headphones for under $500 that would sound good in a system with the schiit audio magni and modi.

Currently the leader of my choices is the Shure SRH1840. I have seen many reviews of this headphone and they all seem blindingly positive. But as I am extremely new to the world of audio beyond cheap headphones that you can buy of eBay

I listen to just about all types of music.

Thank you for all the suggestions.

Alex

What kind of music do you like?

Will they be used for something other than music listening? (gaming, movies?)

Thank you for responding I listen too dubstep, rock, classical and drumstep. I no it's a bit random I know but any recommendations will be greatly received.

And no these will only be used for home use.

I would try the Beyerdynamics DT770 or the DT990 Pro, you won't empty your wallet and they'll no doubt sound good for the music you like. However I haven't heard the Shure, so maybe someone with experience with them can tell you more.
