How does a $300 pair of bookshelf speakers compare to a pair of $300 pair of cans? - Page 3

My klipsch promedia 2.1 has good SQ and is very very loud. The volume knob if more than half the dial becomes unbearably loud. It costs less than $300. I'm quite happy with them although they are not bookshelf.

They also have a 5.1 range.

Yes something like a Klipsch 2.1 system is exactly what I thought would do, especially if the room is small.

I've read that dayton subs are good for the money. $130 for 12"
