I agree with you but am happy enough with the Ak240. The fact that it can be charged by any power bank makes it practically OK for any actual usage.

I remember the days when I need two DX100 for a flight and they won't even last the whole flight.

Totally agree! It's a blessing indeed for air travel. & ease of recharging makes up any deficiency in battery life.

All suggestions welcome smily_headphones1.gif

Personally, I find Roxanne and the Fitears match very well with AK240.

I have balance cables on order but haven't received them. So I can't tell you about it.

Balanced cable for Roxanne or FitEar. If I am getting Roxanne I have to get the Akr03 version, not sure if they are selling balanced cables separately.

AloAudio balanced IE800 is great, but they won't modify any existing earphones, you have to buy it from them. That's the reason why I sold my single ended IE800 smily_headphones1.gif With these earphones, going from single ended to balanced is a definite improvement.
I seem to remember having seen something about another shop planning to modify existing earphones in the IE800 thread, but I already got AloAudio at that point.

I own both iE800 and Shure SE846 both are very good I prefer the Shure a little more as my iE800 I just sent back to have replaced cable issues they are great phones but I feel as the design is a little compromised....The Shure to me just give that little extra plus replaceable cables..( have a set of ALO balanced cables sitting at my cousins now waiting to be shipped to me😊) from what I hear ALO won't modify your existing set as I've sent them mail asking and they won't reply but they'll sell you a set with modified balanced cable" hmmm" for the price they really should offer a trade in with a minimum payment for the modified set☺️....guess we all can dream.....I've been a die hard Sennheiser fan as I've owned and still do many phones from them...as this was my first venture into Shure land and I love what I hear so far...The AK240 sounds great with both

They are very slow at replying, they took about 2 weeks for my first inquiry, then never less than 3-4 days for further ones. But they confirmed me they just sell theirs.

My question is .....when is HD Tracks going to be ready for direct downloading to the AK240? Wish it was soon 😢

good question, I'd like to know this as well. I've bought a couple DSD recordings from SuperHiRez.com, but I like HDtracks better since they always seem to have sales at 10%-20% off.

ALO is not a very good professional company. They tried to sell me a used pair of 334s as new.
Very poor response time as mentioned. They were one of the first high end companies so not much competition. I doubt if they opened today, they would ever succeed.

Wow, that's not kool. I almost bought from them a few times, but there prices were too high for my liking.

From what I understand they have excellent products, and yes what you stated could be true, maybe they wouldn't have succeeded if they opened today as I too find their customer service a little lacking....but maybe it's something they can work on 😌
