For me, anything above 8 hours is great... Anything less than 5hours..well..is crap really

Theoretically by playing WAV files the battery would last longer (than FLAC) since WAV requires no un-compressing by the processor to play. That's why the tiny WAV only Tera DAC has a 15 hour play time.

What if it is a FLAC with 0 compression level versus WAV? Also AIFF. Will the battery life for both cases be different? At least FLAC with 0 compression allows for easy tagging and album art.

I finally caved in, AK240 on the way. I guess I can save some some $$$ from now on since I won't need the high capacity iDevices anymore.
