exactly what i also think...by the way..i once had a mstage (ver.1) and it drove my he500 without any problems..but for a he6 its a bit light..
and yeah..am a gamer also...mostly offline FPS... i have a pc dedicated built by me for it..totally watercooled (even ddr and hdd's)..maybe u should try to find a Beyer MMX300? i have one and its perfect for gaming!! u will hear the suckers exactlty where they come from and frag their asses befor they know it!...hehehe and if u eq the treble down a bit it would be perfect for u maybe...and they are affordable..if u can find one...as they are rare now i understand.and i wont sell mine.lolz
and yeah..i understand that because of the extensive damping/driver mods on the code-x its even harder to drive then the regular already hard to drive standard he5.. am so happy i now have some headroom on the amp as its designed and built to drive the 'godzilla of hard to drive headphones' ...the he6..
Oh the K612 Pros are AMAZING for gaming. They have amazing imaging and great neutral tonality that's just enough involving
I am loving it for music too... It's just,a bit sibilant there sometimes... Also, needs a but more air... I love air xD
I guess (hope) once the 400i/560 enters the house it'll be the all in one headphone, after being extensively compared to my three overachievers (K612, MA900, X1) each having their pros and cons obviously xD
One can dream...
