Where To Try Out Headphones?

Hello,
I'm currently researching for some portable headphones and I concluded that the likelyhood is that trying out headphones myself is better than reading all of the reviews in the world. So, is there a particular shop that boasts a big storage of models to try out in the Montreal, Canada area? Or a way to rent headphones online for a few days. Anyway to try a selection of headphones without spending $2000.

Thank you,
Lykourgus

The only way I know to have a chance to try many high-end headphones is at a big head-fi meet. Stores, especially stores in North America, simply do not have much in the way of demo headphones. I suppose you could always get on a plane and fly to one of these stores...
