Would a headphone extension cord make sound quality worse?

So I just bought a Fidelio X1 by Philips, and I'm going to use a V-MODA audio cable instead of the stock cable that comes with the headpohnes (it's apparently not very good). What I'm wondering is if using an extension cable to reach the back of my PC will cause any problems? The cable only is too short and I'm thinking of using an extension. This would only be a temporary solution until I can get my hands on a Schiit Magni.

No, it shouldn't affect the sound at all.
