Looking for an Affordable Headphone Amp

Thread Starter

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a headphone amp under $200.00 that would fit nicely between my Oppo 95 player and the Shure SRH 840"s?

I have those cans for recording but would love to use them connected to my Oppo for movies and music.

I'm looking for something that will add bass and life to these neutral headphones.

Can a portable Amp match the quality of a desktop?

Right now I'm considering the

FiiO E11

Electric Avenues

Maverick Audio Tubemagic A1

Digizoid ZO2

are you only looking for portable amp? how about E12?

if you are looking for desktop amp, you could consider Magni.

Thanks for the reply, Rubenstein.

It doesn't matter if it's a desktop or portable amp.

I'm looking for the best sound enhancing headphone Amp for home for around $200.00

I'll look into the two you suggested. :)

I second the Magni, it's fantastic for the price.

How does the Magni compare to the O2 amp?  I have an O2, but I'm considering adding a second amp for the office.

I've never heard the O2, but from what I have read, they are very similar. The O2 might have the slightest edge, but the Magni is cheaper.
