IEM around $125

Thread Starter

So I am looking for a replacement for my Shure SE110. I really like the sound on these but they have seen better days. Genres I listen to are Rock, Hip Hop, Country, Classical, and Classic Rock/Oldies mostly so a wide variety of music. I have looked at getting UE 600vi, Rockit Sounds R-50m, FAD Heaven II, and I have looked at RHA MA750i. So I was wondering anyone would have any suggestions of other IEM I should look at? One preference that I have though is that like to wear them over the ear.

VSonic GR07, the bass edition if you can find one. There should be some here in our classifieds used.

Don't get the UE600. They're cheap (can be found for ~$40) but you should spend more if you can. I owned a pair, they were good for the price but pretty meh in the grand scheme of things.

Shure SE215 should be good, although I've never heard it. Monster Gratitude is popular too, if you're okay with the styling.

I had Sony XBA-2s, and based on owning those I would recommend the XBA-3 or XBA-4 for your price range (or the XBA-30 and XBA-40, those are newer versions of the 3 and 4).

Even better is the Sony XBA-H1, which is a hybrid (armature & dynamic), but those are going for $150.

You could probably offer this guy $125 for his VSonic GR07 Bass Edition

If you were pleased with the sound of the SE110, you may want to follow alexm23's advice and look at the Shure SE215.  Some of the IEM's you listed will have a dramatically different sound signature than your SE110's...not bad in all cases...just different.

FYI someone is selling a SE215 for $45 on FS/FT right now, I would look into that.

That would be an awesome deal. I never see the pop up for anything less than like $70-90.
