Any suggestion between Sony MDR 10RC or Logitech UE 6000??

Hello Head-Fi members. I need some suggestion related to the mentioned headphone. I have read several posts about the UE 6000 and I also quite fancy for MDR 10RC (couldn't find so much info about it). Both prices are reasonable for me and I'm really confused which to pick. Any help would be appreciated.

I am considering to use it for listening wide range of music (I am listening from piano to Hip-Hop). I'm also planning to use it on my android phone. I know both models are portable and I heard that MDR 10RC has noise isolating (correct me plz). Besides 10RC and UE 6000, I also think about the sol republic tracks HD as the side-option.

Thank you in advance for your response guys!

The biggest difference between the two (other than their current prices), is that the 10RC is an on-ear, while the UE6000 is over-ear. The 10RC sounds darker overall when compared to the UE6000.

Oh and the 10RC doesn't do active noise canceling, you are mistaking them for the MDR-10RNC.wink.gif

Yup - 10R (base model) is over-ear without ANC, 10RC (compact) is on-ear, 10RNC (noise canceling) is over-ear with ANC, 10RBT (bluetooth) is over-ear with bluetooth.

I want to work in the Sony product-naming department. Seems like a pretty cake job... tongue.gif

If I am considering home and short traveling usage, which one's better? :D

I found some negative comments for regarding the UE 6000. Some said they have problems with the noise cancelling in the active mode, and the treble was too much. I like the portability of UE, but Sony also has the portable mode in RC.

If you're talking about lightweight and ease of portability, the MDR-10RC is better. I don't really know about the active noise canceling for UE6000, sorry.

I don't use ANC and I wouldn't use it if I had it. If I need isolation, I use IEMs, not ANC. ANC will always affect the sound quality - it might be more or less with different brands - but it's not going to have zero effect.

Thank you for all of the inputs. I've ordered the MDR 10RC and waiting impatiently. I will update when I have received my Headphone. :D
